This white wine is a testament to the diversity present in Greek wines. According to one story, when
Greece was on the verge of being taken over, the Greeks shoved pine needles in their white wine to
sabotage it so the enemy wouldn’t want it. The result is what we call Retsina, a pine flavored white
wine made with pine resin.
